A&W Restaurant—Fosston,
MN
A&W Restaurants are
thought to have been the first drive-ins
featuring curbside service by “tray
boys.” Sitting at its original corner
location, the new restaurant draws patrons
in from the highway as well as from the
surrounding neighborhood. Nostalgic inside
and out, the drive-in accommodates 12 vehicles,
and the colorful interior recalls the franchise’s
era of jukeboxes, carhops, and frosty mugs.
